Topic Subject : Contracts with clients |
|
Is everyone working with a contract with all clients? I have one I make everyone
sign. It spells out specific rights and responsibilities before we ever get
started. I think I started with the ALI contract and modified it here and there. I
have three versions, changing the intelectual property rights and who pays who
what.
This, of course, requires anyone under age to have a guardian sign as well.

That is really great, to have a contract. Can you post examples of your
three? I know others have posted in the past, but I didn't take advantage of
the opportunity to check them out. I feel in need of one now but I don't
want to re-invent the wheel.
Thank you in advance.

Attached are three variations. Please note that I am not a lawyer and use of
these documents is not my responsibility. I present them here only as examples
of what my lawyers liked.
OK, having said that, I like the simple fact that it spells out everyone's
rights and responsibilities. I have had one dispute which was settled by reading
the relevant section to the model. She then asked for a new agreement and we
renegotiated. Basically her boyfriend freaked out about the pictures I was
taking, so I turned the camera off for her.
